What the numbers on the Kottos AI website and account pages are. Effective October 28, 2026.

We do not run the models

Your requests go to third-party providers, and their models write the replies. Models can be wrong, out of date or biased, and Kottos AI does not check or control what they say. Check anything you rely on, above all for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.

Account figures are estimates

Your account page shows what your requests cost at provider list prices, what a reference route would have cost, the savings between the two, cache-lifetime simulations, the Simulate tab and time-to-first-token comparisons. Each of these is an estimate:

  • Costs use list prices collected from providers' public pages. Your contract, discounts and invoices can differ, and your provider's invoice is what you owe it.
  • Comparisons replay your traffic under rules stated on the page. Another reference, cache behaviour or traffic mix gives another answer, and a saving can be negative.
  • Timing comparisons pool recent requests from all accounts and short probe prompts sent from our server in Ashburn, Virginia. They estimate the network trip and the queue at each provider. Your own request can wait longer or shorter.
  • Past results do not predict future cost or speed.

Prices, probes and benchmarks on our website

  • Price tables and the cost calculator use prices collected from providers' public pages. They can be out of date or wrong, so check the provider's own page before you buy.
  • The latency probe sends one short, fixed prompt to each provider once a minute from Ashburn, Virginia. It measures the network trip and the queue, which is less than what a real request waits.
  • Benchmarks hold for the conditions stated with them: hardware, software versions, load and date.

Nothing on our website or account pages is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Our writing about inference markets, forward contracts and futures, including the thesis page, discusses ideas and is not an offer to buy or sell any security, commodity or derivative.

Names and links

Anthropic, Claude, OpenAI, GPT, Amazon Bedrock and the other provider and model names on our pages are trademarks of their owners. Naming them does not mean they endorse Kottos AI. Links to other sites are there for convenience, and we do not control those sites.
